Divergent Movie Review!

The story is about  Beatrice “Tris” Prior (Shailene Woodley) whose community is broken into 5 factions, Abnegation, Candor, Dauntless, Amity, and Erudite. Each faction has a certain job and it’s based on one’s personality. Once you’ve turned 16 you are put to the test that provides the answer of which faction you belong, either it’s the one you were born into or a new one. ” Faction before blood” is what they live by and stick to it.

Tris is Abnegation “Selfless” yet she has always felt out of place. Her whole life she’s looked up to Dauntless “Brave” because of their freedom. This test should have been clear about which faction she belongs, however the test says something completely different, Divergent. Divergent is someone that has each of the factions in their personality and since it’s something the community can’t control, it’s basically having a target on your head. Tori (Maggie Q) was the one that administrated her test and warned her that her being Divergent needs to be secret. Even her family!

With her life at stake now she must choice a faction. Transfer from Abnegation to Dauntless.

Tris becomes Dauntless which is basically badasses! Once they arrive their immediately put to the test, jump off of roof.

Tris then meets Four. Four (Theo James) is the initiates leader and teaches they to become fearless warriors. Divergent has it’s props, like even being scared you tend to jump onto dangers back. Four and Tris become attracted to each other yet Tris knows she needs to stay hidden.

Which is hard considering HOW FREAKIN HOT THIS GUY IS!!!

I loved reading Divergent and even though there were a lot of stuff missing, which I understand, the scenes I loved reading where on the big screen. Jeanine Matthew (Kate Winslet) is Erudite member and wants all Divergent die, meaning Tris is in grave danger. The acting was well done. The story, gladly follows the book.

Shailene Woodley definitely surprised me and kicked ass as Tris. As well as Theo James as Four and the rest of the actors. I loved how true they stayed to the book and can’t wait to see them continue the franchise. It’s action packed, intense and good movie worth watching!

Insurgent. I can't wait that long!!! UUUUGGGGGHHHHH
