Deadpool Movie Review!

The greatest opening credits (besides Star Wars scroll) I’ve ever seen!

If you didn’t already know this based on the R-rating, don’t take your kids to see this movie!

If you’re unfamiliar with Deadpool, he isn’t your typical superhero, and neither is his story. He’s a character that has the ability to break the 4th wall. What the means is that he knows he’s a character and people read/watch whats happening. He often speaks to the audience and give his own commentary of the story happening.

Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) is a sarcastic, narcissistic, and good heart, Weird combination, I know, but he’s awesome!

Wade meets the love of his life, Vanessa (Morena Baccarin) and after many, many sex scenes, he is hit with bad news.

He has cancer, and the cancer has spread throughout his body. Scared and sadden not just about himself but about what this might be causing Vanessa, he meets someone who can help.

At a “bar” where the customers make beats on who will die next, known as The Dead Pool, a man shows up and tells him of an organization that will not just cure him but turn him into a superhero.

Wade takes the offer and learns that it might have been a mistake. Running the organization is Ajax (Ed Skrein) who not only is a psycho but hates Wade. After horrid torture to turn him into something else, Wade keeps his humor and colorful personality.

Wade completes his transformation and when he escapes, he takes it as a mission to end Ajax, which he finds out his real name is Francis. That name will never be the same again! Wade is cured of his cancer but has a deformed face to go with him now.

With a little help from his friend Weasel (T.J Miller) Wade renames himself as Deadpool. Wade, now Deadpool kills anyone that might know the whereabouts of Francis (Ajax). To help him X-men crosses over, and Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead. Colossus has hopes that Deadpool will join the X-men and Negasonic Teenage Warhead just follows her mentor and cracks jokes at Deadpool.

The humor of this movie was unbelievable! It was nonstop and just what you wanted to see in a Deadpool movie. Ryan Reynolds was always the right choice in Wade Wilson and after they fucked it up in Wolverine: Origins, I was glad that they wanted to fix their mistake.

I knew the movie was going to be great but it blew my expectations! The sequel is already in the works and I can’t wait to see more!
